UPDATED ON 14/12/2017: Meeting has been postponed. Learn more here.
Through the AC2 Project, the West and Central African Research and Education Network – WACREN is providing affordable high-capacity connectivity and network services for research and education in Nigeria in Quarter 1 of 2018.
AfricaConnect2 supports the development of high-capacity internet networks for research and education across Africa. It builds on existing networks in Eastern and Southern Africa and North Africa and will extend connectivity into West and Central Africa. By collaborating with AfricaConnect2, the pan-European GÉANT network strengthens Europe’s links with the African continent and provides African research and education communities with a gateway for global collaborations.
On behalf of WACREN and the AfricaConnect2 Project, Eko-Konnect and Zik Konnect we are inviting all the CEOs and Directors of ICT of all the tertiary institutions in the Eastern Region (Anambra, Enugu, Abia, Imo, Rivers, Cross River, Bayelsa, Ebonyi and Akwa Ibom) to a “Connectivity For Higher Education in the East” meeting for direct participation in AfricaConnect2”. The meeting will provide information for your full understanding of the administrative, financial and technical benefits of this connectivity as well as the opportunity of working as a connectivity cluster.
